Why the school deserves the award
The school instills a sense of safety during the early formative years of children's time at school.
This includes keeping safe on a bicycle and scooter through balance bike and Scooter Smart training. The staff at Ashbrook are particularly supportive and are always keen to dress up or ride a scooter to enhance children's learning!
PC Howitt is a familiar visitor to school who helps promote key road safety messages such be bright be seen, the importance of keeping your bike/scooter safe & secure as well as safer parking.
I also sent to the awards panel the photograph of all the staff dressed in their hi viz with Colin which is possibly what clinched it and why you won the award as it demonstrates your enthusiastic participation.
