Online Safety at Ashbrook Infant & Nursery School

At Ashbrook Infant and Nursery School we work with governors, staff, pupils, parents and carers to create an environment that embraces new technologies and recognises their value in enhancing learning. We take E-Safety very seriously and encourage responsible use of ICT and mobile technology and follow agreed policies to minimise potential e-safety risks. We are currently working towards our 360° E-Safety Mark.

This page is updated regularly to inform parents about Online Safety and to provide links to resources and guidance that may be useful.

Parental Guidelines

In school children are taught how to keep safe online in an age appropriate way. This can continue at home with the help of the following websites which offer advice and guidelines for parents.

At Ashbrook we recommend and use the following child safe search engine.

Kiddle is a kid safe, visual search engine. Kiddle search results are either handpicked and checked by editors or filtered by Google safe search ensuring child appropriate results without any explicit content.

We seek parental permission for children's photographs to be added to the school website and we never name children or include any personal information. Please scroll down for website links and key information. Further details can be found in our policies below.

Please read the new Government guidance for parents and carers whose children are using social media.

CEOP is a command of the National Crime Agency, and is dedicated to tackling the sexual abuse and exploitation of children and young people. CEOP is here to help young people (up to age 18) who have been forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity with anyone online or in the real world. We also offer advice and links to support in response to other online problems young people might face, such as cyberbullying or hacking. For information, advice and to report concerns directly to CEOP, visit the Safety Centre by clicking on the Click CEOP button below.
